Autumn snippets.

Hi everyone, we are enjoying some gorgeous Autumn weather here at the moment. Cool mornings and evenings and lovely warm days.

I had a scrap of brown brushos paper left over from another project so diecut these leaves and added some more colour with a few distress inks. There is a lovely gold shimmer that doesn't show in the pic too well, the brushos were misted with a gold spray.

I'm linking up to the anything goes birthday challenge at Seize the Birthday,

and to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday where it's also anything goes.

Purple flowers.

Hi everyone, I made a batch of these flowers a little while ago, and thought I'd use more of them up.

I added the black frame after I'd finished the card as I felt the white circle needed more definition. It was a bit tricky getting it in place but it worked ok I think.

The challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday is showers and or flowers.

At Work it Wednesday the theme is April showers bring May flowers.

Birthday pinwheel.

Hi everyone, I've been doing so much driving lately that the craft room has been neglected!
I'm off to Brisbane this morning too, about 3 hours each way for a 15 minute doctors appointment!
Luckily he's a great doctor and worth the trip.

Lack of time meant I thought I'd try and CASE some of my own cards. I made one like this years ago when I first got this Stampin Up pinwheel die.

I've tweaked it a little bit and was  hoping to play along with the patterned paper challenge
at Seize the birthday, but you need 2 papers and I'v only used 1, so I'm linking up to their anything goes option.

I'm also playing along at Scrapbook Boutique where there is this gorgeous mood board for inspiration. As well as the pastels there's a pop of blue and red in the top left pic that caught my eye and I was inspired by all of the circles.

The coloured letters were cut from scraps of coloured card, so I'm off to the snippets playground at
Pixie's Crafty Workshop. I've been absent for a while and have missed lots of fun!

Weathered wood and flowers.

Hi again, more torn card and gesso, but this time I painted it with weathered wood distress paint.
I rubbed on some pewter metallic paint on the edges too.

This fresh daisy was cut from some watercolour papper painted with Kuretake Gansai paints. The stem is coloured with distress markers.

I'm linking up again to the birthday challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday,

Purple mixed media.

Hi everyone, I've been playing with torn cardboard and gesso again!
This time, I sprayed the gessoed card with antique linen distress stain and painted it into the nooks and crannies! I rubbed on some amber metallic paint on the edges, although it's a bit hard to see in the photo.

The flowers were made from a messy infusions experiment!
I was spritzing water and sprinkling on the colour are you cerise then smooshing it on my craft sheet. I added some blue knight and realized I'd gone too far!! Way too much water. I painted on a thin layer of gesso, to tone it down, as you can see from this pic, still didn't look too appealing!

I punched out some flowers, rubbed a tiny bit of magenta inka gold onto the edge of the petals and smoothed it around with a wet brush, Much better!

I'm linking up to  Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge where the theme is sprays,

I've used Poppy stamps meadow leaf and lorelai leaf die, and parts of the Memory Box cherry blossom die.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is celebrating their 8th birthday with a birthday theme! Congratulations!

Embossing with wafer dies.

Hi everyone, I've tried a new to me technique on this card, embossing with a die.
It has a lovely quilted feel in real life.

I also used up leftover negative and positive pieces to make the flowers. I didn't have enough to cover the card, so that's why I thought I'd try the embossing to balance out the design.

I'm linking up to the Happy Little Stampers anything goes with dies challenge.
I've used Memory Box tilth floral and Simon Says Stamp Mum dies.

At Outside the Box the theme is celebrating Mum. You also need to use a Memory Box product on your project.

Challenge2
At CAS mix up card challenge one of the elements needed in inlaid die cutting.
After embossing the card with the die, I glued the negative flower shapes in place, then glued in the petals. The flowers were leftover from another project where I'd diecut them from card painted with Finetec gold watercolours. I've also stamped the tiny for you sentiment.

Supplies:
Memory Box tilth floral and Simon Says Stamp mum dies; Finetec gold watercolour paints; Casual Fridays Mum's the word stamp; versafine ink & clear ep.

Oxide inks and diecuts.

Hi everyone, I did some experimenting with distress oxide inks on watercolour paper, it was great fun!
I did some die cutting to make use of them, and am entering a few challenges.

At Outside the Box the theme is celebrating Mum, plenty of time to get ready for mother's day.
Challenge2
I've used Memory Box dies, fairytale flower border and moonlight butterfly.

AAA Cards where the theme is die cuts.

I've inlaid the border die, so this fits the theme at CAS Mixup Card Challenge.
I've used this technique, stamping, wet embossing, vellum and smooshing with distress oxide inks.
I won the stamp when Darnell was having a destash, I love this font so thank you again Darnell

At Simon Says Stamp Monday, it's things with wings.
