Birthday bunnies!

Hi everyone, my hubby is breeding New Zealand White meat rabbits and has one doe with 6 week old kits, and another doe with brand new babies. They are so cute!

Edited to add: Brenda asked to see a pic so here they are!

I thought this card would be perfect for him on his birthday!
I've glued two rabbits together to give each one some dimension.

I'm linking up to the little critters challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday,

Birthday cogs and gears.

Hi everyone, I'm playing along as a party guest at Seize the Birthday again this month. It's one of my favourite challenges as I always need birthday cards in my stash!

The toppings theme is Something Sweet but you can always play along with the anything goes birthday option too. I think I have a cupcake stamp somewhere but have had no luck finding it, so I went along with the anything goes option.

I diecut these cogs from an empty cereal packet, great source of chipboard that's a great thickness for my cuttlebug! The cogs are coloured with metallic rub ons. I've used brass, gold and pewter. You need to buff some of the colour off as it will rub off onto the white background, ask me how I know lol!!

I'm also linking up to the challenge at The Male Room where they want us to use diecuts from our stash,

and to the Happy Little Stampers anything goes with dies challenge.

Supplies:
Memory Box antique gear set and mini gears dies: MFT pierced tag stax die; Metallic rub ons by Jim Aldred Supply; sentiment sticker; Gear embossing folder, by Darice I think.

Dreamcatcher on blue.

Hi everyone, I hope you had a relaxing Mother's Day if you were celebrating it.
I had a lovely day just pottering around, even had a nanna nap!

A friend asked me to make a birthday card with feathers on it, so I'm hoping she likes dreamcatchers.
I borrowed this Cheery Lynn die from my sister ages ago and thought I'd better use it before she wants it back!
I enlarged the lacy circle with a border diecut from 2 Spellbinders dies. It made the image just that bit bigger which is what I wanted. I used distress inks to colour the white feathers and also to give a bluish tinge to the silver diecuts.

The background is painted with Kuretake Gansai watercolor paints in a few shades of blue, with a touch of Finetec silver watercolour paint for shimmer.

I'm linking up to a few challenges:

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's anything goes.

At Happy Little Stampers watercolour, I'm choosing the anything goes option.

I'm also adding another entry to Seize the Birthday, going with the no toppings option this time.

Supplies: Kuretake Gansai and Finetec watercolour paints; Cheery Lynn dreamcatcher die; distress inks; silver card; sentiment sticker.

Seahorse scenery.

Hi everyone, I was so excited when Nancy asked me to be a party guest to play along at Seize the Birthday. It's one of my favourite challenges as I'm always needing birthday cards!

The theme this time is birthday with Creatures or Animals,

or, as always if you don't want to do the toppings it's anything goes as long as it's a birthday theme.

I've had lots of fun playing with gesso and distress paint to create the background for the seahorse and starfish. Old cardboard boxes are no longer safe in my house lol!

The creatures are inked with versamark and then embossed with frantage enamel powders in aged taupe and ochre. I cut down a cereal box to make a base with three sides as an "ëmbossing booth". It does a good job of containing the powder which tends to blow everywhere until it starts to melt.

I'm also linking up to the anything goes challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More

Supplies:
Scrap of corrugated card; gesso; weathered wood distress paint; Sizzix mini sand and sea and holiday greens dies; versamark ink; frantage embossing enamels; metallic rub on paint;sentiment sticker.
